It is always memorable when music and musician dedicate themselves to a good cause. Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach was the music director of the hanseatic city Hamburg for 15 years when he organised a charitable concert with the benefits going to the city's poorhouse, in April 1786. It was alo to change the reception of the public to his father's work. Including piece from Händel's Messias, three of C.P.E. Bach's own pieces will be performed. His Magnificat from his time in Berlin at court, but also a later Sinfonia of vionary sensitivity and spherical atmosphere. A unique benefit performance.
