The unique documents from the inventories of the state and university library and other institutions in Hamburg, put a focus on Bach's role as a musical innovator for todays church music in Hamburg. In addition, the exhibition looks at Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach's ensemble in Hamburg and his efforts as a concert promoter.
